CLASSIC
ON THE
HILL

The homeowners were seeking to expand their living space in a way that felt seamless and intentional, rather than simply adding square footage. Their existing layout lacked the flow, functionality, and supportive spaces needed for daily life, particularly with the rhythms of coming and going, entertaining, and caring for their home. While the house was well loved, it was missing key transitional areas. Spaces that could absorb activity, create order, and offer moments of pause and connection to the outdoors.

The renovation thoughtfully introduced a series of highly considered additions designed to enhance both function and experience. A light-filled sunroom was added to create a natural gathering space that connects the home to its surroundings, while a new mudroom with a dedicated dog washing station brought practicality and ease to everyday routines. The addition of a scullery improved kitchen flow and storage, allowing the main kitchen to remain clean, calm, and guest-ready, and a new powder room completed the layout with comfort and convenience. Each space was designed to feel cohesive with the original home; layered, warm, and purposeful resulting in a residence that supports daily life beautifully while feeling refined, thoughtful, and complete.
